- Awarded to MetroHealth Main Campus Pediatrics, “For achieving significant improvement in immunization coverage rates as indicated by results of the 2014 Assessment, Feedback, Incentives and Exchange (AFIX) continuous quality improvement process.”
- Note: My work on immunization workflows, decision support, clinical advisories, and order sets was integral to the health system’s winning of this award.
HIMSS Stage 7 EMRAM (Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model) Hospital and Ambulatory Award (2014, recertified 2023)
- Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS)
- Stage 7 systems, “[D]emonstrate superior implementation and utilization of health IT systems. Their achievement has resulted in the true sharing, information exchange and immediate delivery of patient data to improve process performance, quality of care and safety.”
- Note1: The MetroHealth Case Study (2014) cites my work on creating decision support, improving workflows, and academic publications in the areas of pediatric/adolescent immunizations, and pediatric hypertension.

- Awarded to health systems for “outstanding achievement in the implementation and value from health information technology, specifically EHR’s.”
- Note: The MetroHealth System’s application highlights my work on vaccine adverse event reporting, automated patient clinical messaging regarding adult and pediatric immunizations, and blood pressure diagnosis research and improvement.

- Awarded to safety-net health systems making significant contributions to the larger Epic community.
- Note: The award cites several areas that I have contributed to including leadership of councils, conference presentations, developer immersion trips, and participation in the physician listserv.
Gold Status, Target: BP Recognition Program (2019)
- American Heart Association and American Medical Association
- Gold Status recognizes practices that have 70 percent or more of their adult patient population with high blood pressure controlled.
- Note: the best practice advisory that I first implemented in 2014 continues to prompt re-measurement of adults whose BP is above the threshold.
